When Conack Construction — one of Ireland’s top contractors — brought Hexaclean Solutions onto the St. Vincent’s Dermatology fit out, the brief was clear from day one: this wasn’t a standard builders clean.
A dermatology fit out means clinical-grade finish standards across every surface — exposed concrete, internal glazing, M&E fittings, sanitary ware, fitted furniture — spread across three separate levels: a basement, a ground floor, and Level 01, including detailed mockup rooms built to showcase the finished standard the entire project would be held to.
At 3,000m², this was a significantly larger scope than a single-building clean. And the work wasn’t happening in isolation — trades were still actively building throughout, meaning constant coordination was needed to avoid undoing finished work or getting in the way of the next stage of construction.
Then came the curveball: a level was scheduled for inspection with just a week’s notice. What was meant to be a phased, steady rollout suddenly had a hard deadline attached — and immaculate condition wasn’t negotiable.
Conack Construction didn’t hand over a vague brief. They issued a detailed builders clean specification covering every level of the fit out — and Hexaclean priced and delivered against it, line by line.
The scope covered full cleaning and dusting of skirting, doors, glazing, screens, architraves, frames and ironmongery. Exposed concrete floors and walls. M&E fittings including generators and water tanks. Stairwell balustrades and lightwells. Every internal glazed screen and window, protection film and stickers fully removed.
Bathrooms and WCs cleaned and sanitised throughout — toilets, wash hand basins, showers, tiling and splashbacks all covered. Fitted furniture, storage presses and kitchen units cleaned inside and out. Vinyl floors vacuumed and washed. Signage wiped. Ceilings, bulkheads and walls cleaned. Lifts cleaned internally and externally. External glazing, frames and cills washed down, protection and stickers removed.
Every single area was signed off directly by the Conack Construction Project Manager and Finishing Foreman before being considered complete — no self-certifying, no shortcuts.
This is the kind of site coordination Hexaclean brings to every construction site cleaning project across Dublin, hospital or otherwise.

Exposed concrete floors and walls, M&E fittings, generators and water tanks, risers and electrical closets — all cleaned and dusted to the standard the fit out demanded, in a space that carries no room for missed detail once services go live.
High-traffic, high-visibility space — full glazing, screens, doors, ironmongery, fitted furniture, kitchen units, bathrooms and WCs cleaned and sanitised throughout. Every surface brought to a finish ready for both trades and inspection.
The most exacting part of the project. Mockup rooms set the standard the rest of the building would be judged against — meaning every detail here had to be immaculate. Full internal glazing, fitted storage, tiling, splashbacks and fixtures completed to the reference standard for the entire fit out.
Every level followed the same process: clean to the Conack spec, walk it with the site team, sign off, move to the next stage — without ever slowing down the trades still working around us. It’s the same standard Hexaclean brings to every healthcare construction cleaning project across Dublin and Ireland.

The project was moving at a steady, phased pace — until Conack got word that one level would be inspected in just one week.
There was no room to slow down and no room to cut corners. Hexaclean scaled the team to 7 operatives and went to work bringing that entire level to immaculate condition, on a compressed timeline, while trades were still active around us.
No delays. No missed detail. The level was signed off, the inspection passed, and the standard never dropped — even with a fraction of the notice a job this size would normally get.
This is the difference between a cleaning company that follows a schedule, and one that adapts when the schedule changes.
Skirting, doors, glazing, screens, architraves, frames and ironmongery — every fixed surface across all three levels cleaned and dusted to a clinical-grade finish.
Concrete floors and walls, generators, water tanks and exposed services cleaned throughout, including risers and electrical closets.
All internal glazed screens, doors and window frames cleaned, with protective film and stickers fully removed. External glazing, frames and cills washed down to match.
Toilets, wash hand basins, showers and shower trays cleaned and sanitised, along with tiling, reveals and splashbacks throughout.
Kitchen units, storage presses and fitted furniture cleaned inside and out — shelves, drawers, counters and cabinets all included.
Vinyl floors vacuumed and washed, signage wiped, ceilings and bulkheads cleaned, lifts cleaned internally and externally — every space brought to the same standard, floor to floor.
Every level cleaned by Hexaclean Solutions has been signed off directly by the Conack Construction Project Manager and Finishing Foreman — to spec, on time, with zero shortcuts.
When the inspection deadline moved with only a week’s notice, the level was brought to immaculate condition and passed without issue.
Conack Construction’s site management team — including John and Stephen — have been kept in constant contact throughout, and have been clear about why the partnership continues: professionalism and speed, consistently delivered.
This isn’t a finished project. Hexaclean Solutions remains on site at St. Vincent’s Dermatology to this day, with further ongoing works confirmed — proof that when a top-10 Irish contractor needs a cleaning partner they can trust project after project, they call Hexaclean.
Give us a detailed scope of works and we'll price it, deliver it, and sign it off line by line — exactly as Conack Construction did on the St. Vincent's Dermatology fit out.
Constant contact with site and project managers throughout — no silence, no surprises, no chasing for updates.
A dedicated checklist prepared and reviewed with the client before works begin, with sign-off on every level before we consider it complete.
When an inspection date was moved forward with just a week's notice, we scaled the team and delivered — without dropping the standard.
Health and safety documentation prepared and followed on every project, every level, every time.
This isn't a one-off job — Hexaclean remains on site at St. Vincent's Dermatology today, with further works ongoing. Ireland's top contractors don't keep calling a team they can't rely on.

The process of bringing a site from active construction to a finished, usable standard — removing dust, debris and residue so the space is ready for handover or inspection. At St. Vincent’s Dermatology, this covered 3,000m² across three levels for Conack Construction.
Typically a rough clean during construction, followed by a full clean once trades finish, and a final detail clean before handover. On this project, each level was cleaned and signed off individually as construction progressed, rather than waiting until the whole fit out was complete.
Yes — though standards vary widely between general cleaners and specialists. Hexaclean was brought onto the St. Vincent’s Dermatology fit out directly by Conack Construction, working from their own detailed scope of works.
A team that removes waste and debris in an organised way and leaves the site in a condition ready for inspection. On this project, that meant full dusting, glazing, sanitising and detailing across every level, signed off by Conack’s own project manager.
Because construction sites need more than a tidy-up — dust, residue and debris require specialist equipment and technique to remove properly. This is especially true on medical fit outs, where the finish standard has to meet clinical expectations, not just a general clean.
Time saved, a safer site, and a more thorough result than an internal team can typically deliver. On St. Vincent’s Dermatology, this included scaling to a 7-person team at short notice to meet an inspection deadline without compromising the standard.
Every area, without exception — wards, corridors, bathrooms, fittings and equipment all require attention. On this project, that meant full coverage of basement M&E rooms, ground floor communal areas, and Level 01 including the mockup rooms.
Hygiene, attention to detail, and consistency across every area — clinical environments don’t allow for missed spots. Bathrooms, sanitary ware, fitted furniture and glazing were all cleaned and sanitised to this standard throughout the fit out.
It depends on the size of the facility, the scope of work, and the level of finish required. A 3,000m² medical fit out across three levels, like St. Vincent’s Dermatology, is priced against a detailed scope of works rather than a flat rate.
A company that can work from a detailed specification, provide a dedicated quality control process, and communicate consistently with the site team. Hexaclean priced and delivered the St. Vincent’s Dermatology project against Conack Construction’s full builders clean spec, with every level signed off by their project manager.
This is typically agreed in the contract. On this project, Conack Construction brought in Hexaclean Solutions directly as the dedicated cleaning contractor for the entire fit out.
Specialist cleaners bring the right equipment, chemicals and training that site labour and management typically don’t have time for. This let trades stay focused on construction while Hexaclean handled cleaning to spec, level by level.
Through direct relationships with main contractors and a proven track record on similar projects. Hexaclean was invited onto the St. Vincent’s Dermatology fit out by Conack Construction, one of Ireland’s top contractors, and remains on site with ongoing works today.
A mockup room is built to show the finished standard the rest of a project will be judged against. On this fit out, Level 01’s mockup rooms required an especially exacting finish, since every detail set the benchmark for the entire building.
Yes, with the right coordination. Throughout the St. Vincent’s Dermatology project, Hexaclean worked alongside active trades, communicating constantly with the site team to avoid delays or conflicts between construction and cleaning.
If you’re a contractor or developer managing a medical, healthcare or commercial fit out in Dublin or across Ireland, Hexaclean Solutions delivers specialist cleaning from first fix through to final handover — not just the last clean before inspection.
Whether you need ongoing site cleaning while trades are still active, a full builders clean to a detailed specification, or a dedicated partner for a live, large-scale fit out, we have the team, documentation and track record to deliver.
